Responsibilities: I run the 55 Acre Estate, and I am responsible for two full time members of staff, casual contractors and labourers. I have supervised the reinstatement of the prestigious gardens, which are open to the public under the National Garden Scheme. This work included the replanting of a large walled rose garden, refurbishment of three acres of lawns, ornamental fish ponds, large shrub beds, an orchard, paddocks and a vegetable garden which produces fresh fruit and vegetables for the kitchen for the family. Other duties include security of the estate and other properties owned by my employer. I take care of the family pets including horses and chickens, and arrange the maintenance of the family vehicles.

Responsibilities: During my employment for the above Estate, I have been responsible for the planting of 11000 trees which range from small transplants to semi-mature specimens in a large landscaping project on the private residence of Mr Al Fayed. (Chairman of Harrods). This also included the care and maintenance of a further 30,000 trees planted under a M.A.F.F. funded grant scheme. I have managed a 150 acre site of mature woodland where nature conservation is paramount. My duties included visiting other Estates around Europe which were owned by my employer and ensuring that the trees and gardens on these prestigious residences were kept in good health. For a six month period, in the absence of the Head Gardener, I carried out the duties to this position, directing six permanent gardeners and a number of casual labourers in their work. Although I really enjoyed my position I sought employment closer to my home in Cranbrook, Kent. Whilst working for Mr Fayed I gained experience in operating many Agricultural and Horticultural machines, tractors, grass cutting equipment etc.
