Took position as single-handed housekeeper, the role initially requiring the setting up of a newly acquired home for the family. This has worked very well for the past two years, enabling family and guests to enjoy long weekend breaks from London. However, it has now been decided to carry out a complete redesign and refurbishment to the estate, a process expected to take at least twelve months. I feel this might well be the time for me to return south.

Took position as housekeeper/administrator
This entailed moving to Devon and taking residence in the estate coach house, providing security for the entire property during the family's week-long absence. Shortly into 2004 it was made public that Mr and Mrs Andersen were to divorce, resulting in many changes within the company and household.

I was asked to stay on to effect some form of stable continuation, which I was happy to do. There was also an element of caring for Mr Andersen's two boys in an effort to shield them from the effects of the divorce. After engaging a first-class nanny I feel this was something of a success and allowed me to return to other duties.

Mr Andersen eventually started a new family and I continued as housekeeper. In May 2006 my mother was diagnosed with a terminal illness and I left to care for her.
